HotelPartner Revenue Management promotes Melanie Saliger to Chief Product Officer (CPO)
The provider of revenue management solutions is entrusting the economist and former hotelier with responsibility for the strategic development of its product range.
In her new role, Melanie Saliger, who has been with the company for nearly nine years, will be able to apply her extensive expertise in product development and process optimisation.
“I look forward to working with the team to further optimise HotelPartner’s product offering, with a clear focus on the needs of our hoteliers. We are developing features that are not only intuitive and efficient, but also enable our partners to achieve success more quickly. I am also currently working on improving our internal processes to further drive agility and innovation,” says Melanie Saliger about her new role at HotelPartner Revenue Management.
With this promotion, HotelPartner Revenue Management underlines its ambition to continue to offer forward-looking and customised solutions for the hotel industry. To achieve this goal, the Swiss company, which also has offices in Austria, Germany and the UK, has from the outset focused on actively promoting employees within the company.
“We are delighted that Melanie Saliger has accepted this new challenge. Her outstanding performance, commitment and expertise have contributed significantly to our success. We are confident that she will continue to provide great impetus in her new role and look forward to working with her in the future. Once again, we have been able to entrust a member of our team with a leadership role. Her expertise is our most valuable asset,” adds Florian Augustin, Deputy CEO of HotelPartner Revenue Management.
The HotelPartner team is already working on new product innovations and technological developments: “We have optimised our Rate Shopper to improve pricing for our partners in the back office. We are working on a new AI-based algorithm that reacts to market changes and is based on up-to-the-minute parameters. In case of cancellations, the system can actively intervene and adjust the categories.” adds Melanie Saliger, Chief Product Officer of HotelPartner Revenue Management.
It is particularly important to the manager that all these developments are carried out in close consultation with the partners and hoteliers, as the innovations are designed to make the hoteliers’ day-to-day work noticeably easier and thus further increase revenues. HotelPartner Revenue Management has made significant progress in the last two months and the focus on AI should offer even more opportunities in the future.
Melanie Saliger began her career in the hospitality industry with a degree in tourism and gained experience in international hotel chains and private hotels before taking on the role of assistant manager at the renowned Altstadthotel Weisse Taube in Salzburg. At the same time, she successfully completed her studies in Business Administration. She joined HotelParter Revenue Management in 2015. Saliger started her journey at HotelPartner as a Portfolio Revenue Manager, where she was able to actively contribute her many years of operational experience in the hotel industry and move up to the position of Senior Chief Portfolio Manager over the years.
In addition to its headquarters in Switzerland, HotelPartner Revenue Management has offices in Vienna, Salzburg, Hamburg and London. The company currently manages more than 500 hotels in Europe.
