Hotel des Balances and Arosa Kulm Hotel & Alpin Spa opt for external expertise in revenue management
Long-term partnerships with hotels in the DACH region are not uncommon for HotelPartner Revenue Management: the company invests primarily in the development of people and technology.
A city hotel in Lucerne and a wellness hotel in Arosa can now look back on more than ten years of cooperation with the pan-European revenue management service provider for the hotel industry. Hotel director Peter Büsser of the Hotel des Balances made the decision to work with an external service provider when his hotel broke away from an organisation to operate independently in the market: “We had been part of a franchise group for years, but decided to break away from the chain and stand on our own two feet. As we are one of the best hotels in a prime location, we were confident that it would work. But we were also afraid of losing business without the chain’s reservation system. So we started looking for a replacement. A hotel manager friend of ours recommended HotelPartner and together we were able to quickly lay the foundations for a successful partnership”.
In an industry characterised by rapid change and intense competition, HotelPartner Revenue Management has deliberately chosen an approach based on long-term relationships. This approach enables the company to develop a deep understanding of each hotel’s individual needs and challenges, and to create tailored solutions. Through continuous dialogue and close collaboration, optimal revenue management results are consistently achieved – from individual hotels to hotel groups.
Bardhyl Coli, Hotel Director of the Arosa Kulm Hotel & Alpin Spa, got to know HotelPartner Revenue Management at a trade fair: “We trusted HotelPartner and simply tried it out. If it hadn’t worked, we would have stopped the trial. But it actually worked very well. As a result, we have been working together successfully on various projects for over ten years now. At the beginning, we wanted to find the right answers to the technical challenges of our time. You can see that everything is becoming more complex, and this is not always easy, especially for us hoteliers. As an individual hotel, it is therefore important to obtain relevant knowledge. This means not only getting answers to relevant questions, but also being presented with solutions. In other words, not just talking, but putting the horsepower on the road. It also means that their employees really understand the hotel. This is very much appreciated by the hotel team itself.
“Our long-standing partnerships with hoteliers are an integral part of our success,” adds Rainer M. Willa, CEO of HotelPartner Revenue Management. “These close relationships allow us to develop a deep understanding of each hotel’s unique needs and implement targeted strategies that maximise revenue and profitability. Ultimately, our success is measured by the success of our partners. This is where our TET synergy of qualified teams (T), proven expertise (E) and the use of modern technology (T) comes into play”.
The building of today’s Hotel des Balances – located in the immediate vicinity of Lucerne’s Fish and Wine Market – dates back to the year 1200. The hotel has been known under its present name since 1836 and has hosted many important personalities. The four-star holiday hotel is one of the top addresses in Lucerne on Lake Lucerne in Switzerland.
The 5-star Arosa Kulm Hotel & Alpin Spa is situated at an altitude of over 1,800 metres with panoramic views of the Grisons Alps and offers an exclusive spa and gourmet cuisine. The luxury hotel is located in the famous ski resort of Arosa, Switzerland.
