Under the motto “Shaping the Future Together,” Hotellerie Suisse once again organised the Hospitality Summit in Zurich. Approximately 1,300 participants gathered to stay updated on industry developments and select from an extensive program of talks over two days. Renowned experts provided insights and solutions for current challenges. Within this event, the coveted “Hotelier of the Year” award for Switzerland is presented annually. In 2023, Rainer M. Willa, CEO of HotelPartner Revenue Management, had the honour of presenting the award to Christian Eckert, Managing Director of The Omnia Mountain Resort in Zermatt. This award recognises exceptional leadership, innovation, and success in the hotel industry.
In addition to the award ceremony, Rainer M. Willa joined Prof. Dr. Florian Bauer from Vocatus AG for an interview as part of the conference program. Moderator Maria Victoria Hass led the discussion, focusing on the correlation between pricing strategy and positioning. Under the title “Pricing Approaches in Practice,” the crucial connection between an effective pricing strategy and a hotel’s positioning was explored. The discussion provided valuable insights and perspectives on this pertinent topic for the hotel industry. This interview with Rainer M.
